My simple but effective log chunks have been sanded back and treated ready to hold your signs on your big day. The beauty of these slotted log chunks is they stand higher than a table top, meaning your signs have more impact and are more noticeable. Whether you want to display your food menu, a thank you note or a drinks menu, you can use it for whatever sign you like.

Large Log Slices

Chunky and quirky shaped large log slices sourced from a local log man that saves felled trees for purposes other than firewood. I love how a simple log slice can be the basis for an incredible centre piece or used to display bigger props for a wedding or event. Stack them up with smaller log slices or keep them low, the possibilities are endless with a log slice!

Mini Log Slices
From the same local log man the larger log slices are from, these mini log slices are great for adding more height and dimension to the larger log slices. Use them on the sides for candles and bud vases or stack them up higher for a bigger feature. Sanded to give a smooth finish and finished off with a whitewash varnish to make them brighter and more summery looking.

You would be right in thinking these are just chunks of wood, but you will be surprised at how much they can do for your styling. When I saw them in the local wood mans store room I fell in love with the colourings of the wood and stripped back bark, so I had to rescue them. These tall chunky tree chunks will add height to your décor, whether on the floor or on a tabletop, or even to put your cake on. It’s good to bring the outdoors in!

These mid high log chunks are extremely versatile and give a sense of depth and height within your styling. Pair them with my tall log chunks to give even more variation in height for your pretty decor pieces. Stripped back and whitewash varnished I have given them a new lease of life with a summery finish.

Short Upcycled Ladder
An old vintage ladder that has been stripped back, repainted and waxed by myself. Painted white and rubbed back showing hints of grey giving it that shabby chic style…how I love to upcycle and share with you the end result.
With a bit of imagination, this ladder has no end of décor uses. Add your own blankets to make a Blanket Ladder or you can hire as a whole set up to include Mae & Maple’s fleece blankets and ‘Snuggle Up’ sign. You could even use it as a pot plant or wine bottle table plan or even a decorative Love Ladder.

Tall Rescued Ladder
My tall ladder was rescued from another wedding supplier who was having a clear out. Keeping it within the wedding industry, I couldn’t say no when it was offered to me.
With so many different ways to use a ladder within your styling, I knew I had to hire them out on their own, giving you the option to decorate them as you wish. DIY Fun Foto Frame
Everyone loves a photobooth so I thought what a great idea it would be to have a DIY photo frame handcrafted especially for Mae & Maple. Complete with a handmade hanging picture frame which can be adjusted in height using the chain attachment and an optional ‘Say Cheese’ chalkboard to hang from the bottom if you wish.
You can hire the booth on its own or complete with handcrafted signs and props in an old rescued trunk which will be displayed on an upcycled cable drum tower (made by me!) with rescued hats hanging from it.
A sure fire way to keep your guests entertained and a fun way to get some fabulous pictures in your wedding gallery.

Treats Trolley

I’m a sucker for anything vintage so when I saw this wooden drinks trolley on Marketplace I had to buy it. Not a lover of the shiny varnish, I sanded it back and added a new wood stain to freshen it up. Use it for whatever you like, whether it’s sweets, brownies, cupcakes or a memory table…this little beauty is very versatile!

Short Wooden Plinths
These cute little wooden plinths have been lovingly handmade by myself after rescuing a freshly sliced piece of wood from a felled tree. Use them however you like, but they make great floral plinths next to your ceremony arch, or, as a small drinks table next to haybale seating. If you wanted to make even more of a statement, you could even hire them alongside my taller matching wooden plinths and use them in pairs either side of your ceremony, instead of an arch.
